Inspired late one evening, unable to find a clock that would make my eldest son skip for joy, Killen Time Clocks was born.
Hi, I'm Claire!
The face behind Killen Time.
Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia in 2011 and met my future husband very early on in my first year of my working holiday visa. After some time working in Perth, I made the move to our rural property in Kojonup to put down new roots and am now a mother of two gorgeous boys and a beautiful Golden Retriever.
I love being a mother, however during those late nights breastfeeding my children I was constantly seeking ways to keep my mind active, my brain ticking over and an outlet for my creativity. A friend of mine in the UK bought my son a clock for his nursery as a newborn gift and when I started looking for a clock for my other son…and could not find anything that hit the spot… Killen Time was soon born.
I wanted to create something that I had not already seen before. Something simple, unique, novel and appropriate for all ages.
Why the name 'Killen Time'?
While quite unique, the reason is rather simple!
My maiden name was Killen and after going through a number of potential quirky sounding names my husband came up with ‘Killen Time’ which I thought was actually perfect. A little play on words and let’s face it I’m just trying to kill a bit of time… well… if there is time to kill with two little youngster to look after and a farm to help out on.
